Warning explicit language and a true sustain for what you call “your” humanity

What the fuck is wrong with people!?!?! This isnt exactly how I expected my sendoff from Puerto Rico to go this morning. As we were leaving my neighborhood. Amedee Pulled over in front of me with what I thought was a flat tire. Instead she alerted me to the side of the road where there was just an average, every day box sitting there. Sure enough, inside was this little guy right here. his condition was extremely dire. Neither one of us are veterinarians but based on our own personal experiences we deducted that this guy was suffering from heat stroke, malnutrition, severe dehydration and was hypoglycemic. Judging by his teeth he’s no more than Tony Starks age. Somewhere in possibly the three month range. Somebody had to drop him off on the side of the road in that box in that condition. Before you start defending whoever‘s actions this was, even a good Samaritan would’ve dropped the box in front of a fucking vet office instead of the side of a highway. I know there’s epidemics like this all over the world as was mentioned in the comments from yesterday‘s post but there’s no place for reminding us of that here. If we don’t fix what we can first we can never broaden out to help others. Human beings disgust me more and more every day. There’s really no argument here.

We did what we could with our diagnosis and got with supplies we could from the local convenience store. We had to settle for maple syrup instead of corn syrup. We had to settle for red Gatorade for something with electrolytes. We had Waters of course. We got puppy food but that of course was not needed at this point. He was drinking each time we administered liquids to him. The maple syrup was rubbed on his gums and put in his mouth. Again, we are not doctors, and all we can hope is that we got to him in time and he got to the vet in time. I have instructed Amedee to tell the vet That you do everything possible to save his life. I will take care of it. I just wanted you guys to see that this is a day in the life for the rescuers here in Puerto Rico. Those of us who rescue back home have seen some terrible things from time to time but I did go through this on a daily basis is honestly heartbreaking. Thai is why she tries to rarely leave her home because she’s afraid of what she might find.
