About Hugh

Hugh has retired from BT after a career spanning 43 years. His career included spells as an installation engineer, planner, field manager, Senior Sales Engineer and Technical Consultant. Hugh spent the last 8 years of his career, supporting Bristol Myers Squibb in EMEA and APAC as a Voice Delivery Consultant. Bristol Myers Squibb in a multi-national Pharmaceutical company, highly regulated by the American FDA. After 6 months working with a CBD start-up company as their compliance officer, Hugh accepted a role working on the Compliance Products Directive, with the then CEO – Fiona Pengilly. When Fiona opted to pursue a career outside the business in October, Hugh agreed to take up the reigns and continues to drive the project forward. Hugh is an ardent believer in compliance as a route to formal acceptance by UK and European Governments.
