Troopers stopped a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe with California plates at 10:40 a.m. June 15 for a marked lanes violation on Interstate 70.

Criminal indicators were observed and a patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed 592 pounds of THC-infused products in moving boxes.

THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the chemical responsible for most of marijuana’s psychological effects.

The driver, Frank Tatick, 28, Los Angeles, was booked into the Tri-County Jail in Mechanicsburg on suspicion of possession of drugs, a second-degree felony. He is being held on a $30,000 bond, jail records show.

If convicted, Tatick faces up to eight years in prison and up to a $15,000 fine, according to the OSHP.
