LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) -Federal agents confiscated over half a million dollars at a Laredo port of entry over the weekend.
The incident happened on Sunday June 21st when CBP officers at the World Trade Bridge referred a refrigerated trailer to secondary inspection.
Using a non-intrusive imaging system, officers were able to discover 1,552 pounds of marijuana concealed within the trailer. The drugs had an estimated street value of $310,584.
The second incident happened when officers referred another trailer to secondary inspection.
Officers were able to find 1,161 pounds of marijuana concealed within the trailer.
