The police arrested three people, seizing 9 pounds of marijuana and $27,958 cash, during a drug raid at a Wayne Avenue house, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.
Shakir Khan, 31, Marzan Choudhury, 31, and Mohammed Ali, 41, all of Paterson, were each charged with six drug offenses.

Khan, Choudhury, and Ali were charged with marijuana possession, intent to distribute, intent to distribute near a school and park, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police opened an investigation into drug dealing from 39 Wayne Avenue in June. As a result of the investigation, police raided the house on Thursday, seizing 33 bags of marijuana, 204 tins of marijuana, 173 THC vape cartridges, 10 jars of marijuana, and 13 pre-rolled marijuana cigars.

Police seized 8.8 pounds of marijuana in the bust. Police also seized $27,958 in suspected drug proceeds.
