A delivery driver who took drugs and crashed into a barrier on the A55 has been banned from driving for a year.
Paul Allen Hilton, 43, had taken cannabis before the collision and hadn’t realised it would still be in his system.
He lost control of his Mercedes Sprinter van at Llanddulas on the offslip road and collided with the barrier.
Hilton, of Briggs Avenue, Crewe, today pleaded guilty to drug driving on the A55 in the incident on March 9 at Llandudno Magistrates Court.
Deputy District Judge Anita Price disqualified Hilton from driving for 12 months and fined him ÂŁ120.
Prosecutor James Neary told the court that Hilton had been driving his van when the single-vehicle accident happened at 8.45am that day.
