Drugs bust sees 155 cannabis plants seized

Police have seized 155 cannabis plants from a West Bromwich home.

The drugs bust happened in Coles Lane, after police received tip-offs from members of the public.

Wednesbury Town Police tweeted a picture from the scene, which shows the small plants crammed into one room.

An accompanying post said: “Officers acting on community intelligence have uncovered a cannabis set up with 155 small plants at an address on Coles Lane, West Bromwich.”

So far, no arrests have arrests have been made following the find on Monday, October 19, but enquiries are ongoing.

West Midlands Police has urged anyone who suspects similar activity is taking place in their street to report it by calling 101.

Tell-tale signs that a home is being used to grow drugs include shuttered windows and, more often than not, a sweet smell.
