Holy ham sandwich, it’s finally here! The Playstation 5 is finally making it’s way into millions of homes around the world (of course, except for mine, because I’m broke) and for every type of video game enthusiast, no matter what your favorite genre, there is plenty to look forward to. There is a pretty lengthy list of games to pick from on launch day, and if that wasn’t enough to suck your bank account dry, the Playstation Plus Collection is offering 20 games from PS4 era to play from day one (including classics like Bloodborne, Fallout 4 and the Last of Us) and the growing list of titles being released shortly after launch day is enough to make you soil yourself in excitement.

But with so much to choose from, and the hefty $70 price tag most new PS5 releases will have, it can be a bit intimidating to choose exactly what to get. So we hear at Loud News Net have got you covered – we’ve made a list of the 7 games we are most excited for, and we’ve tried to cover different genres to highlight how dope it is that there’s a little bit of everything for everyone. So kick back, light up a spliff, and let’s do a little window shopping.

NBA 2k21

blank

Let’s kick things off with the sports game that NBA-heads have been waiting for – NBA 2k21. While all of the games on our list look incredible, this is the only game on the list that features real people and the attention to detail of the players shown in teaser images is stunning. Everything from the methodic way Labron jukes people to how Steph Curry toys around with his mouth guard makes this game look like realism on another level. Hopefully, we will see Kobe as a secret character…

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

blank

The last Spider-Man movie, ‘Into the Spider-verse’ absolutely shook up the Marvel world with its instant popularity among fans. So it’s pretty exciting to see them deliver with this game, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, that looks absolutely incredible on the Playstation 5. Now if we can only get that live action Miles Morales movie with Childish Gambino made that fans have been dying for, we’d be set.

Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition

blank

For fans of old school RPG’s like Baldur’s Gate, then you will definitely love Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition. Although this isometric role player has been out on PS4 for a bit, this rerelease promises 4k, all previously offered downloadable content and some new treats to reign in this new generation of gaming.

Dead By Daylight

blank

Another PS4 title being rereleased, this is survival horror at its finest. Dead By Daylight is a game is multiplayer-centric. Here’s how it works – one player is a sadistic monster, while the others run for their life in an attempt to avoid horrific doom. And with a ton of add-ons, and I’d assume more will come to the Playstation 5 release, you can now play as your favorite horror movie monsters, like Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

blank

Anyone who has played any of the Assassin’s Creed games knows just how epic these action-adventure open world games can truly get. Now imagine an AC game but in Viking era. In walks Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which looks like it’s making the attempt to redefine what true bad assery looks like.

Watch Dogs: Legion

blank

If you haven’t played any of the Watch Dogs games, you are definitely missing out. Think GTA, but instead of someone trying to come up in the criminal underground, you’re a hacker making a name for yourself in the digital underground. This is an oversimplification because the series is far from being just another GTA wannabe. Watch Dogs: Legion, the third game in the series, has been out on PS4 for a bit now, but to see it in 4k with some possible updates for the Playstation 5 release is definitely something to look forward to.

Demon’s Souls

blank

This will be the PS3 remake that no one even knew they needed. Demon’s Souls was the first in a series that would eventually be called Dark Souls, a hack-and-slash style adventure RPG that is as ruthlessly difficult as it is stylistically dark. While frustrating at times, it’s a game with an actually learning curve, that forces you to adjust your play style and get better to advance. And the screens for this remake look absolutely insane, seeming to emphasize the macabre elements that have made the series an instant classic among fans. But before you dive in, you should know that you will die…. a lot.
