Happy Thanksgiving Loud New Net fam! Growing up in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, this holiday is engrained deep into our psyche. Elementary school field trips to Plymouth Plantation. Making Pilgram and Native American head garb to celebrate this as a day where two diverse communities unified to give thanks for what they had.
That story is probably so full of bull shit, but I’m no historian. I’m more of a sit at home with fam, eat some good food, have a few cocktails, laugh, smoke some herb, laugh more, and be thankful type of guy.

Now what goes better with Thanksgiving food than a little sticky cheeba on the side. Thanksgiving is a New England thing, and we have legal weed in Massachusetts and medically legal cannabis in Rhode Island. That is a lot to be dankful for!
So today I let you guys into my world. Off a fresh haul from the LEGAL dispensary (ahem, DEA), I’ve decided to pair up 4 kinds of classic Thanksgiving sides with 4 loud weed strains (cultivars, if you are high brow). Happy Danksgiving!

Stuffing with Scooby Snacks (50/50 Hybrid 24.99% THC)

In the home of Loud News Net, we are setting it off properly. Our stuffing is cornbread stuffing with minced linguica. Linguica is spicy Portuguese sausage. If you don’t have access to that, then any spicy sausage will do, kind of.
Their are two varities of stuffing at our Danksgiving. The stuffing that is in the Turkey. It has a crispy outer edge, yet is moist once you get past the crunchy outside. Then of course, we bake a couple of trays for the left-overs.
The Scooby Snacks strain is a fine pairing with Thanksgiving stuffing. The Strain originated in San Francisco. Earthy undertones with a light flowery smell complement the baked stuffing aroma perfectly. It’s almost 25% THC so we’ll start it slow. And the 50/50 hybrid makes sure we aren’t Indicouch too early today.
Cranberry Sauce with Wedding Cake (60/40 Indica 29.4% THC)

Cranberry sauce is a staple at Thanksgiving. In fact, I don’t even think I eat cranberry sauce any other time of year. There are so many varities. Back in 1934 when I was in elementary school (again), they would have the kids make fresh cranberry sauce to bring home to the fam. We’d mash up real cranberries and add a little orange zest. (Not sure why I’m reminiscing about Thanksgiving and elementary school so much in this article. Something to probe with the shrink next time 🤔🤔🤔).
AnyWHO…cranberry sauce rocks. I love it on the leftover sandwiches the next day, personally.
For the weed strain pairing, we are matching up the sweet, yet earthy, Wedding Cake strain. At 29% THC, we are now ready for lift-off. It’s an Indica dominant strain so be careful. But enjoy the buds covered in crystals as shiny as that can of Ocean Spray cranberry sauce you just opened.
Baked Mac and Cheese with Top Shelf Black Banana Bread (50/50 Hybrid 24.6% THC)

Now we’re getting to the serious sides. We do Mac and Cheese at our house. If you’re down with parsnips and broccoli, we call that the filler. I mean, it might be on the table but not too many people are noticing.
So many ways to do baked mac and cheese. But the best way to do it is keep it basic you don’t Kalen calling you out:
With the baked mac and cheese we’re pairing Top Shelf Black Banana Bread. Earthy AF. Dank AF. And is a good 50/50 hybrid to keep things in balance. Pack a bowl because at 25% THC smoking a large blunt is not the way to go if you’re trying to make the dessert table later on.
Pecan Pie with Peach Flambe (60/40 Indica 21.4% THC)

Our last Thanksgiving side is actually a dessert. Pecan Pie is the Silverback Gorilla of Thanksgiving pies. All other pies look weak in comparison. Pumpkin you’re aiiight, but to Pecan Pie? Hell to the NAW!
For this weed pairing, we are going with the Peach Flambe strain. It’s an Indica dominant strain so a perfect companion for the couch as you settle into the Itis. The Peach Flambe that we copped is 21.4% THC. But does it even matter right now? You’re already got the Itis and you’re high as a mofo!
Happy Thanksgiving / Danksgiving fam!
