Personally, I love watching old school sci-fi movies like Robocop and Dune. But maybe you prefer watching an engaging documentary, or a solid stand-up comedy special.

There’s nothing worse than getting high and sitting down to watch a show and not being able to choose something. Some streaming services have too many choices, and it can be overwhelming.

While these honorable mentions didn’t claim the top spot, they still have a lot to offer.

Amazon Prime is certainly an honorable mention. This streaming service has lots of blockbuster movies to pick from. Especially if you are a fan of horror, Amazon Prime has some of the best horror movies available. Midsommar, Crawl, and Hereditary are just a few of the horror highlights you can find on Prime.

So if you like getting scared while you’re toasted, Amazon Prime is a great choice for you.

Netflix is almost the best streaming service for stoners, but it has a few minor problems. Netflix has some great choices in just about any genre, but that is also its biggest problem: too many choices.

FX has some all-time greats, like Sons of Anarchy and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. My personal favorite FX show is Wilfred, which seems like it was made by and for stoners.

The FX selection alone puts Hulu near the top of the list. Although Hulu may seem to be overrun with reality game shows, there are tons of great choices mixed in.

Hulu’s movie selection isn’t the greatest, but there are some gems like Palm Springs, which is just hilarious. The balance of quality TV shows from comedies to horror is what makes Hulu the runner up.

HBO Max: Perfect For Stoners

This new streaming service is undeniably the best streaming service for stoners. HBO alone has some of the best TV shows ever made, like Game of Thrones and The Sopranos. But to make the deal even sweeter, HBO has partnered with different production companies to add to HBO Max.

Now HBO Max features the DC movies and animated shows, a ton of Cartoon Network selections, and all of Studio Ghibli’s incredible anime movies.

No matter what you’re in the mood for, HBO Max is guaranteed to have something to keep you interested.

Sometimes when I’m toasted I love to watch some mind-blowing documentaries. HBO has quite a few to choose from. The Vow is a trip that will definitely keep you engaged. I Love You, Now Die is an absolutely twisted story that will blow your mind.

For something far less serious, Eastbound & Down is a hilarious ride that is perfect for stoners. Or if you love superhero action, HBO’s Watchmen was one of the best shows of the year.

High Maintenance is an incredible show to watch while high. It’s an entire show about a weed dealer in New York, known simply as the guy. He delivers weed to people, and each episode is a glimpse into the strange lives of New Yorkers.
