If you haven’t heard of the internet phenomenon Marc Rebillet by now, it’s about time you learn. A veteran of improv music and comedy alike, the spontaneity and pure unadulterated skill (or madness?) that he unleashes in each video are bar none. Marc has been on his game for years, so it’s time to get up to speed on the funkiest man with a loop pedal you’ve ever witnessed.
Reach Out
A gem of a performance, “REACH OUT” is a 2018 installment of Rebillet’s Idealogue series. One of his more polished videos, it’s hard to not start bobbing to the beat from the start. The synths are funky, the rhythm is infectious, and his signature soulful vocals absolutely own the track. For an introduction into the skill set of the Loop Daddy, this is as good of a video as any. What begins as a lush, moving song progresses into a nasty dance breakdown, dragging even the snobbiest critic into the world of passion and intricate looping.

I Feel So Alive
“I Feel Alive” might be the first video that I ever saw. Not just of his (although true), but I believe I was completely reborn after my first view. I can split my life into two distinct chapters: before Marc Rebillet sang “UHH, I’M FEELING MYSELF TONIGHT,” and after. One of his danciest and highest energy videos, this introduced much of the internet to the mustached musician that would go on to tour nationwide. Drums crisp and on point, chord progressions as beautiful as they come, and more.
Sorry To Bother You
Another great piece of performance art delivered to you from the comfort of his own home, what begins as a winding tame and blue track will carry you the entire way on top of the heartfelt vocals. The same heartfelt vocals that begin to moan at every pitch, including “Harder! Faster!” in what is best described as an impressive Spongebob imitation. The mix of tongue-in-cheek humor and actual musical chops is something you’ll come to expect in most of the self proclaimed Loop Daddy’s videos. The tasty bass chugging along beneath the piano hits you in places you never saw it coming. Don’t believe me? Better get to watching.

Chaos And Destruction
Rebillet is known for many things. The guy who dances in his underwear on livestream? Check. Improv master alone or in front of 5,000 people? Check. Funk pro with an incredibly wide range of variety? Double check. Chaos and Destruction will fill that last box for you. What begins as a strongly worded and haunting PSA to get your wife and children below ground escalates into full blown nuclear annihilation. You’re really gonna turn down a video that has a nearly minute-long monologue in a synthesized voice followed up by bass so dirty even Skrillex would tip his hat? I didn’t think so.
Look At That Ass (Live)
We get it, you’ve watched every video listed so far but had to make sure your family wasn’t around. Guess what though? If Marc felt that same way about his complete lack of censorship and alternative lyrics he wouldn’t be where he is today. If you need a good example of his total lack of f***s to give, look no further than him performing his latest and greatest “Look At That Butt” in a crowded Dallas restaurant. “Damn, I like that hole in your butt.” This man DOES NOT CARE… and neither should you. This is for the people, this is art in its purest form, and you deserve to treat yourself to it.
Marc isn’t the only artist taking over Youtube with performances and music videos. Check out what Amine and other rappers have been laying down.
